The Cultivation of the Herbal Order

The cultivation methods practiced by the disciples of the Herbal Order are passed down from the celestial Herbal Order, with the core purpose of enhancing their healing capabilities. Unlike traditional Chinese medicine practitioners who diagnose pulse conditions based on the “Cun, Guan, Chi” positions, the Herbal Order relies on Qi for pulse diagnosis. By sensing the flow of Qi, they can pinpoint the location and root cause of illnesses within the body. Similarly, the treatment process of the Herbal Order is also accomplished through the manipulation of Qi. Thus, Qi cultivation and Qi absorption have become indispensable components of the Herbal Order’s cultivation practice.

The celestial Herbal Order has bequeathed its exclusive Qi cultivation method, which serves as the unified practice protocol for the Herbal Order across the three realms. Qi cultivation is a mandatory daily practice for every disciple. Each year, Buddhas and Bodhisattvas from the celestial realm lead the disciples to absorb Qi at four distinct locations: the vast ocean, arid desert, lofty mountains, and snow-covered lands. This Qi absorption practice helps to widen the meridians for Qi circulation, allowing Qi to permeate the body thoroughly, thereby enabling the disciples to heal patients more effectively.

Spiritual refinement is another vital part of the Herbal Order’s cultivation. Daily meditation is an essential ritual in the practice. A tranquil mind not only facilitates healing and saving lives but also enhances one’s spiritual attainment. The key criterion for selecting the Herbal Order’s disciples and destined individuals lies in their spiritual nature. The inner-sect disciples of the Herbal Order are all reincarnated from the celestial Herbal Order, tasked with assisting the order in fulfilling its sacred mission. Meanwhile, the outer-sect disciples and lay practitioners must be individuals with pure and virtuous spiritual nature.
